Looking forward to telling the story to my grandchildren. Our original copy fell apart long ago when my own children were young and loved to have the story told to them and then as they grew up used their own words. So pleased it's still in print even though the cover is not as sturdy and glossy as the original.

I purchased this as a Kindle book, which is a different experience to the print version. The artwork is as captivating as ever and it is possible to pinch and zoom in closer to each frame if using the iPad to view. No words, but the images provide all the magic for this lovely, timeless tale.

Bought this to accompany the DVD in our 23 month old's stocking. She loved the DVD but the book has been less of a hit. I love it though - beautiful illustrations, the original story and with no text, the potential for imaginative storytelling as our little girl grows.

We do not have children, but I bought this book from Amazon after seeing it in the bookshop on the Queen Victoria. It is a timeless story about the imagination of a child and the ending wil touch the heart of the hardiest of us. Beautiful collector's item

Lovely book. And as it does not contain written words (the story is told with pictures like in a comic book), I could give it as a Christmas present also to the children of my foreign friends.

I have had trouble finding a DVD like the VHS that I watched with my daughter and her mother. We all loved it! This is a wonderful edition of the book that I loved reading to my daughter.

A beautiful book, read to my children and grandchildren. Do you know, incidentally, that no one knows about it in Australia - or the film? My nearly-3-year old absolutely loved it.
