Even as a fan of Stephen Fry I was surprised by some of the revelations. Laugh out loud funny & written in his own inimitable style. I remain a fan.

Im a big fan of Mr Fry and always will be he is an insppiration to learning and to comedy, however The Fry Chronicles is a little whinny for my liking always putting himself down, making out he is not good enough your a comedy hero big your self up!

The Fry Chronicles is brilliantly written by Steven Fry, however. it is very wordy and I needed a dictionary to understand some of the words.

Gorging my way steadily through Mr Fry's latest offering and enjoying it immensely. It's all there, the flowing prose, the crossword vocabulary, the engaging voice...yes, all present and correct. But what I'm enjoying most are Fry's little excursions into the depths of his anxieties, vanities, addictions and various excessive or worrisome behaviours. Is this Stephen's psyche laid bare? Well, not quite. I have a feeling he's working up to that in his next volume. But what he does choose to reveal here is what fascinates the most.
I recommend this book. Buy it. Read it. Eat it. Smoke it and wipe one's bottom with it. It's terrific.

This is another very good book by Stephen Fry and well worth the money, even at its full price tag. Very good value for money.

I found this book to be intellectually charming and witty. An entertaining read that kept me company on my trip around Europe.

I've loved Fry's books ever since The Liar. right through Paperweight, Tennis Balls, Moab plus the Spectacled Bear and the poetry book (I didn't like the Classic FM book much, but I digress). I've been waiting for Fry to write something like this so I raced through it and loved it. Laughed out loud at times and was thoroughly absorbed.

I'm generally a Fry fan so I am interested in the funny little things that happened in his life, and that you find in autobiographies. Just wish there was more Fry to be read!

If you love Fry and his writing then buy this.

I like Stephen Fry.
I loved "Moab".
I didn't like this.
The book felt rushed - you could hear the deadline whooshing past (to paraphrase a sentence in the book).
Whereas "Moab" was a joy from cover to cover, The Fry Chronicles was really a bit of a 'plod' and, I have to say, the author's constant "oh I am such a poncey, useless, talentless prat" became irritating long before the conclusion of the book.
I don't know, it was all just a bit ... disappointing.
But I still like Mr Fry.
