5.0 out of 5 stars A Letter, 23 Aug 2010
This review is from: The Evils of Revolution (Penguin Great Ideas) (Paperback)
Brilliantly written - how else? - and in this instance Burke writes an informal letter
to a friend, a Frenchman in France during the Revolution. He warns of unbridled liberty, no greater evil,
but he sees the need for correction:
"A state without the means of some change is without the means of its conservation." Richly Burkean.

I cannot find, in this edition or elsewhere, the name of his friend.
