5.0 out of 5 stars Further adventures of Gobbolino and the little wooden horse, 14 Jan 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: The Further Adventures of Gobbolino and the Little Wooden Horse (Young Puffin Books) (Paperback)
My son is almost 8 . We are reading this at bedtime and he is completely enthralled. He loved the previous book and this has not failed us either , in fact it has had him on the edge of his pillow throughout - desperate to see the illustrations so that he can visualise it fully.
The plot is good - cute little ex-witches cat , off to rescue his sister Sootica , accompanied by his new friend the little wooden horse , fleeing from a pack of hounds , flying with the bats from a haunted church , etc , etc.
We have yet to finish it but love it already. I know it will be read over & over again.

4.0 out of 5 stars an exciting and charming book, 14 Mar 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: The Further Adventures of Gobbolino and the Little Wooden Horse (Young Puffin Books) (Paperback)
This book unites two of William's most endearing characters-Gobbolino and the Little Wooden Horse- in an unusual adventure involving a witch, a priest, a flock of bats, and Gobbolino's bad sister, Sottica. Definitely recommended, especially if you've read the earlier books

4.0 out of 5 stars magical story with moral message, 13 July 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Further Adventures of Gobbolino and the Little Wooden Horse (Young Puffin Books) (Paperback)
Lovely story, not always predictable for 7 - 9 year olds.
Read as bed time story, calming and dreamy with enough content to think and dream about further.

This was a good book, received in decent quality second hand. My 11 yr old enjoyed it as much as I did at that age.
