I bought this book for my boss, having read it in French beforehand. Not sure about the English translation but it's a great book, full of knowledge, interesting, worth-reading, etc...

This is a wonderful taste of real Africa - not the tourist experience. It really captures the feel , the heat and the humanity of various countries and educates you too!

This book offers fascinating insights into african people and their culture. I read it on holiday in The Gambia and it helped to understand cultural differences

Only recently learned about Kapuscinski. Indeed a great narrator. It has been a while since I last read a book that I could not put down.

Good reading, more so for someone who has/had some Africa exposure and may have even seen some of the places.
