5.0 out of 5 stars Wow
This man was an incredibly forward thinker for his time. he was a great observer of life and brought life's lessons through in the surprisingly easy to read format of novels. 3.0 out of 5 stars George Orwell, Complete Novels.
Brilliant book (or set of books) as we all know. My copy didn't seem to have been read either, which was quite nice. Annoyingly, the book was so old that it's beginning to fall apart only two weeks after purchase. Be wary of "used" books! Would buy again though, as it's still readable, this has just made me reluctant to lend the book out.

Animal Farm is a stark reminder of how dictactorship governments come about through incremental stealth (*cough, cough, coalition government, cough, cough*), by acceptance of the masses. 1984 is prophetic particularly of today. A must read, particularly aforementioned novels - should be studied at school!
