4.0 out of 5 stars Very thorough but disconnected, 8 Sep 1998

This review is from: Magic Garden Explained (Paperback)
A very thorough discussion of Unix System V implementation. Covers almost everything you'd want to know. The biggest problem is that each topic/chapter is covered in isolation, with absolutely no reference to interactions between components. This can be very aggravating when try to determine relationships between, for example, the file system and memory management.
