I have read other Expanded Universe stuff and enjoyed it, but this trilogy is the best I have read so far. If they wanted to make a movie trology for the real Star Wars fans they could do much worse than look at this, but now its Disney that seems unlikely!

This book gave me a new view on the star wars theme, the book goes back to before the well know films and tell the tale of how the Sith got re-born. A good to very good read with some interesting insites into the Sith way of life instead of the Jedi!

Absolutely brilliant. The whole trilogy shows the best of the Star Wars expanded universe and the story of Bane is gripping, fast and you can't help but empathise with this figure of towering rage and ambition

Drew is fantastic. I've enjoyed this series so very much. Pace, charecter growth, deception, action, love. I'd advise anyone and everyone to pick up the Darth Bane trilogy

Great book. Builds to a thrilling climax and as with the other books in this series, gives a great insight to the Sith. I liked the way this ended and tied things up...

Finally, a conclusion to the epic series by Drew Karpyshyn.

Darth Bane has passed a certain age, and all those year of darkside force usage are starting to take their toll. In short, the dude is not getting any younger. And so the story begins.

To be honest, I expected a little bit more of this title. How come? We have been spoiled by the previous two titles in the serie, Rule of Two: A Novel of the old Republic (Star Wars: Darth Bane) and Path of Destruction: A Novel of the Old Republic (Star Wars: Darth Bane). They were filled with some of the best action scenes I ever read in a Star Wars novel, so naturally I expected the same in Dynasty of Evil.

The book comes of to a slow start, re-telling a lot of the information we already know about Bane and his apprentice. This can be a bit 'dull' at times. Also, I would have liked more detail in the book, for instance the hunt for the holocron Bane's after ...

This leads to the following, the story is to short. Like I said, we've been spoiled, but I wanted more! More I say.
So much non-action stuff happens, so many characters pass, and yet you get the feeling it's a race to the ending of the book.

I don't mind the lack of action (compared to the previous books). Bane's grown older, his apprentice is a cunning Sith sorceress, so there's need for a non-agressive approach, but I'm missing the epicness.

The ending, well ..., leaves a lot of doors open, which kinda sucked. I hoped for an epic final moment. And to be honest, I saw this particular ending coming from a mile away.

Don't let my rant stop you. This book has to be in your collection. It just has to. Darth Bane is the ultimate cool guy. He's bad, but not evil.

Recommended for Star Wars fans!
4 or 5 stars, difficult decision. I gave it a 4-star because it lacked epic, even though Bane is my favorite SW character.

Star Wars: Darth Bane - Dynasty of Evil book was not as good as the previous in the series. At times it was repetitive and predictable.

This is one of the books that ties the old republic Sith to the republic from the movies and how events between the 2 transpired

I brought this for my boyfriend for one of his birthday boxes and he adored it, and i have read it myself even though i am not a star wars fan at all. And to be honest it was one of the best reads. I really enjoyed it. Now i am a stars wars fan. x
