I love Georgette Heyer! At her best, she matches Jane Austen in genius with the written word. Unfortunately, this novel is not one of her best. I still loved reading her prose, but the relationship between the hero and heroine is very luke warm and they are hardly in the same room as each other. You get the impression that she became bored with them and preferred writing...
