More a long magazine feature than a book
on 11 November 2012
This book, to its credit, begins with the admission that sea fishing is not what it was because fish populations have been wrecked by commercial fishing. But ludicrously it assures us that this brings new opportunities. Opportunities to catch nothing? Despite some useful information, particularly for the newcomer, this reads like one long marketing article for Sea Angler magazine and the other products advertised in its pages. Photos galore, text annoyingly squeezed around the outside - presumably written for the reader who prefers pictures to words. The overall message? Get out there and fish: there may be no fish but at least you'll be using the "top tackle".
