This book is brilliant for those new to meditation. A good back ground is given as to what is meditation and why we should meditate and how it helps the individual.

Many easy techniques are given that can be tried at home though emphasis is placed on the fact that some techniques require teaching from experiences teachers.

Meditation is explored within different traditions such as Taoism, buddism and sufism.
