3.0 out of 5 stars Expected alot more in this "complete" reference

Although the introduction does give you some history behind Unix, the rest of the book is plagued by too much text and not enough examples for Beginners AND too few involved explanations for Experienced Users. It sits very neatly on the fence as a reference guide for the intermediate user. Its a hefty book... but you won't regret it.
