5.0 out of 5 stars great overall PS book with detailed info where necessary
I find this the best SAP PS book currently available. It covers all of the logistic flows giving easy to use information for enduser as well as sap professional.
The scenario part gives interresting views on implementing SAP PS for those that have been in the job for years and can help newbies to find their way through workshops and customer presentations.

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Overview for Module newbies
The book is useful if you want a short overlook over the PS Module capabilities and integration possibilities.

Without a System connection, Customizing views could help, but unfortunately the pages do not recall the main activities.

The greatest asset of this book is the flawless integration of written explanation and technical customization information (including custo transactions), making it an easy to understand, complete and must-have asset to all of us playing around in the project system.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great, brilliantly written book for all levels., 29 April 2008

I found this excellent book incredibly easy to follow. It cuts out all the jargon so common to technical books, but provides all the essentials. It even covers much of the IM (Investment Management) module and how it integrates with PS.
I particularly liked the approach - it starts off with a scenario which explains how each of the main points of PS function in a real situation, then it points out what each elements of PS is capable of. Throughout, you get direction on which transactions to use, and when. Configuration is explained field-by-field with plenty of screen-shots. One of the parts I really liked was the Project Builder screens, which direct you to where each field is configured. Some great tips are also included and on the grapevine, I hear the author is preparing a companion web-site full of tips, tricks and business scenarios. Highly recommended.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not very helpful, 6 Dec 2011
This review is from: SAP® Project System Handbook (Essential Skills (McGraw Hill)) (Paperback)
Very general, does not go into much detail (even though the back cover says 'in-depth info / comprehensive)- not helpful if you want to learn how to use the PS system on a day-to-day basis (for example book tells you that you can set up a template for projects but then doesn't show you how !).
Only good as a general reference book.
