3.0 out of 5 stars Eccentric but Appealing, 9 May 2003
By A Customer
This book is written by Dame Margaret Rutherfords adopted daughter, Dawn Langley Simmons. It tells not only of Margaret Rutherfords fascinating career in the theatre, films and a little television but also Dame Margarets extraordinary and tragic family background. The authors own story is equally fascinating and as the book develops it seems inevitable that the two, author and subject, would come together. The behaviour of Dame Margaret and her husband, the actor Stringer Davis, is undoubtedly eccentric, but alltogether wonderful, just like Dame Margaret in her films.
