5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely accurate summary of each enneagram type.
I am extremely impressed by the accuracy with which this book describes the nine enneagram types. I have been a student of the enneagram for 15 years, and of all the books I have read, this is by far the best in summarizing the essence of each type. It is also very easy to read, and the material is presented with a gentle humor. Through the authors' eyes, we can...

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay but not great
I read this book on the basis of the good reviews on Amazon but was very disappointed. Using the authors guidelines, I found it difficult to identify my own type, even with all influencing factors taken into consideration. There would appear to be other, more comprehensive, books available and I shall investigate those now that this one has been consigned to the 'boot...

5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely accurate summary of each enneagram type., 20 Mar 1999

This review is from: The Enneagram Made Easy: Discover the 9 Types of People (Paperback)
I am extremely impressed by the accuracy with which this book describes the nine enneagram types. I have been a student of the enneagram for 15 years, and of all the books I have read, this is by far the best in summarizing the essence of each type. It is also very easy to read, and the material is presented with a gentle humor. Through the authors' eyes, we can see our gifts and foibles clearly, with compassion, and with an appreciation of the cosmic humor inherent in the human condition.

5.0 out of 5 stars The first Enneagram book anyone should read!, 28 July 1998

Through humor and cartoons, Baron and Wagele have joined talents and taken a mystical personality system and demystified it. Whether you are interested in a surface understanding or a mastery, this is the best book available to introduce you to the transformative capacity of the Enneagram. Buy two. One for yourself and one for your best friend!

5.0 out of 5 stars A good introduction to the Enneagram, 15 Nov 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: The Enneagram Made Easy: Discover the 9 Types of People (Paperback)
I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the Enneagram using this book and particularly liked the illustrations. It is easy to follow and the Inventories at the start of each chapter are fun to complete and provide a useful indicator to your type. With both my partner and I having strong scores in 8, it is little wonder that we have some interesting debates.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just as the tittle says it makes the enneagram easy, 11 Jan 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: The Enneagram Made Easy: Discover the 9 Types of People (Paperback)
I liked the book because they make the enneagram look like something very simple, giving examples from every day life. The illustrations are very appropiate.
Of course, one should keep in mind that enneagram isn't really that easy so if someone is interested in learning about enneagram he should read books like the ones of Claudio Naranjo or Helen Palmer. They don't present the enneagram as something easy but you get a more complete perspective.

Loved the simple fun approach to a complicated subject which made it easier to grasp. I enjoy the pictorial presentations too and use the book as a daily tonic. I have already recommended it to several people who have now got it on their bookshelves as a 'must have'.

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect introduction, 9 July 2010
This review is from: The Enneagram Made Easy: Discover the 9 Types of People (Paperback)
Of all the enneagram books I have read, this one is definitely the best starting point for breaking into the rewards the ennegram offers. It's deeply insightful, easy to read, has a gentle humour, and the cartoons are somehow very memorable 'shortcuts' to the essental characteristics of each type. The Riso/Hudson book "The Wisdom of the Enneagram" is the best resource I have found, but Baron/Wagele is where to start. I've bought ten of these over the past couple of years for friends and professional colleagues, and they've all caught on.
