4.0 out of 5 stars Evie risks her life again, 16 Mar 2011
This review is from: Soul Hunt (Evie Scelan) (Mass Market Paperback)
According to Evie, Boston is her town. So don't mess with Boston. The bad guys just don't get that this means that Evie feels a responsibility for its well-being without a need to push people around.

In taking care of the Gabriel Hounds in "Wild Hunt" (taking them into herself), Evie has made a bad bargain. She discovers that come Midwinter the Hunt is on again, and this time she will be the prey. A solution does not seem up-coming.

Additionally, the local talents are becoming extremely paranoid and their fights are affecting the regular humans. Unfortunately Evie seems to be losing her talent. Everything is becoming a chore and she can barely get up in the morning.

Help comes in the guise of "Roger". He severs the drainage on Evie and in return she tries to help Dina (Roger's friend). Dina has lost something important. Unfortunately Dina isn't exactly one of the good guys (something Evie discovers a little too late).

As you can see, Evie has a lot of problems she needs to resolve. Roland manages to keep the pace of the book tight and myself reading until the book is finished. I enjoyed this book immensely and highly recommend it.
