This book is essential reading for anyone who is seriously interested in dieting for weight loss and long-term good health. I found the diet difficult to implement in its pure form, but with a few tweaks and alterations to simplify my food shopping list, and a few concessions on higher GI carbohydrates, I ended up on a diet (combined with exercise) that lost me over a stone in weight. I contacted Barry Sears through his website: he answered all of my technical questions in detail. For this reason I award "Omega Rx Zone: The Miracle of the New High-Dose Fish Oil" five stars.

Dr.Sears and his team is all you need for good health.
They dispel many myths of the mainstream medical profession ie. There are 2 kinds of body fat ,one bad,one good.
One's weight , per se , is NOT an indicator of health as is claimed by eg.B.M.I. (Body Mass Index).
One can have a large waist and still be healthy ; one can be slim and unhealthy.
What is important is one's blood analyses (ie.TGL/HDL) which are relatively easily done.
With the results of these blood analyses , it is then simply a case of adjusting dosage to correct the blood quality to bring one into the WELLNESS ZONE.
To me as a retired Engineer this analytical approach is analagous to examining ,for example , the oil quality in an engine.
Dr Sears explains that vegetarian Omega 3's are different to those in fish oil and an order ot 100 times less effective.
Dr Sears and his team respond very promptly with complete lucid answers to any questions.
