This review is from: Beloved Highlander (Mass Market Paperback)
During the 1715 Rebellion, the Laird of Glen Dhui fought on the losing side. His poor seventeen year old son, Gregor Grant, although not of the same mind, fought beside his father as his sire and his Laird. Thrown into prison the father died and Glen Dhui and all their assets were seized. General Mackintosh in charge of the captives, liked the boy and gave him some respite from the awful conditions by playing chess with him. When attacked by a another prisoner it was Gregor who saved his life with the result that he arranged his release. Years later after having bought Glen Dhui for his own family, The General finds himself in trouble. He has erroneously betrothed his daughter, Margaret, to a man who he now suspects of murdering his first wife, among other women. The General's increasing frailty and worry for his daughter's safety convinces him that he needs the help of Gregor Grant and sends his daughter to find him....

A good story. I enjoyed this book very much.
