The book was as expected. The fact that this book had to be sent abroad was the reason that it took 2 weeks to arrive

The book had the potential to tell a good story, and had several key points which really hit home the issues that the book was trying to cover. The characters were somewhat believable as was the story; it seemed to have taken into account what can happen in real life.

I was however let down, primarily because I thought it was too short for what the story was trying to do. It only briefly touched on specific points and the relationship that it informs the reader of, isn't really explained. At the end I was left disappointed and didn't feel much for the characters. Had the narrative focused on solely a few individuals, it would have given the author more time to focus on them but instead it felt rushed, particularly at the end, and I would not recommend this book to those seeking something more complex.

I really liked this book, it was well written and well put together. It was sad enough to seem like something I would write, except nobody died. Which is a plus.

The book promises a lot, and unfortunately fails to deliver. If the intention was another stab at political correctness then it works if you already have the views it intends to impart to the reader, otherwise it lays itself open to being seen as a blatent attempt at the "everyone deserves to be accepted" idea. Although i do not disagree with this ethos in the slightest the book has little depth and fails to pack the punch which it would be nice to have seen. the "gay" theme therefore serves as the platform for this preaching and is lost as the point of the novel. i cant see that it would be of any help to anyone looking to "gay" literature in the hope of help in "finding themselves"
