This review is from: Adventures of Ideas (Paperback)
Whitehead I find the most insightful philosopher of the past hundred years. He unusually brought to bear on his philosophical thinking a near-universal sympathy with the humanities. His understanding of the nature of science and the nature of its ontology is outstanding and clarifies so many issues that cloud contemporary misunderstanding of science - both the vision that sees science and truth as identical, and the cynical post-modern writing off of science as just another set of myths. He was a reflective genius. Read this book!
