A confused author who can't distinguish between the Merrill's Marauders and the Chindits writes this book.

The author admits in the prologue to wanting to write about the Slim Vs Stillwell, both of who had little like or knowledge of the Chindit operations.

He finds someway to continuously rave about the Americans throughout what was a British operation, and obviously has given a book about American forces & Stilwell a completely different title, as it wouldn't have sold if people knew it was about the poor American General Stilwell.

If you wish to hear an author give a completely one sided argument due to taking evidence pretty much only after Wingate's death and from people who despised whole operation such as Slim, who knew nothing about it, and knew nothing of it's value, then this is the book for you. Otherwise burn any copy you can find.

The only American force this author doesn't rave about was that of the Air force. But, this was probably beacause they actually helped & worked with the Chindit Forces!
(For a balanced view read Wingate and the Chindits: David Rooney)
