Bought this book as I love john bishop as a comedian, and needed something to read whilst I was away in Thailand. Loved every minute of it, his reference to playing football at my home town and his trip through Thailand made me connect with the him :) I liked the way he has written it, and there are some laugh out loud moments. Great read, thanks john

I really enjoyed this book. 1. because he moved and now lives in Didsbury Manchester and mentions so many places I know and have good memories of. 2. Its well written, Northern lingo and humour. 3. What an enthusiastic and determined guy he is. He still has his feet firmly on the ground and after reading the book you feel you've known him for years.

Thoroughly enjoyed this journey through John Bishop's life so far. A genuinely funny man who sees humour in most things. Not an easy upbringing but a loving family who instilled in him the rights and wrongs of life. He had a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry before entering the world of stand up comedy and making it his chosen path.

I have never laughed out loud when reading a book, nor have I cried and felt the sadness that the author was portraying...This book has had me doing both! It is a thoroughly good read. I have looked forward to coming to bed every night to read it! I really didn't want it to end, I could read it for ever! Well done Mr Bishop on a book well written!

I liked how down to earth this book is written. John Bishop is from a working class back ground made good. I admire his courage to give up a 70k annual salary to follow his dream.

I didn't realised how fit JB was and I enjoyed reading about his sporting challenges

I would certainly recommend this book to friends and family.

I liked the fact that John Bishops character shone through. He is a very down to earth, people person, and I am so glad he made "the big time" at last.,he deserves every minute of his fame.It was good to read about the charity work also,a fact I didn't know so much about. There was some laugh out loud moments in the book, which I loved!!

This was definitely not what I expected (a funny book about a comedian) this is a book about a very humble human being who as done so much for human kind.

A man with no ego, a comedian, a dad and a scouser with a sense of humour second to none.

If you have to read one book make it this and I say that being a Mancunian.

Anything is possible if we just believe and John Bishop extols the power of belief. This is a great read and typifies his humour , along with incredible humility. I could never have guessed but he is a real nice man and this book will be an inspiration to any person aspiring to be anything at all, if nothing else just enjoy the journey.

A fantastic book. It takes you on a journey through John's life from this childhood days on the estate to his rise of becoming a comedian. There are plenty of funny moment but there are some that just pull at your heart strings. The audio book just adds to the stories, listening him talk about this experience just makes the book better.

This book surprised me as I did not expect it to have so much depth. It is very interesting, and as John writes I can hear him speak.
I did not know much about John Bishop at all. now I have great respect for him. Please read this, and you will know why. I am not giving anything away as I find that very annoying in reviews. Enjoy
