5.0 out of 5 stars Sky's the Limit - A Sky fans review
As a Team Sky fan, Richard Moore's latest publication was eagerly anticipated. An esteemed writer and cycling blogger, Moore's previous offerings, the excellent `In Search of Robert Millar' and `Heroes, Villains and Velodromes' have set the bar high. 'Sky's the Limit' does not disappoint.

Although Moore appears to have been granted unprecedented access from day...

3.0 out of 5 stars okay, bit dull, one for the cyclists
It's a rather dry recap of the last few years. No new insights. Makes Sky sound very robotic, no emotion, still can't get excited about this team. Brilliant results for the Brits though of course, simply fantastic. But oh so dull. This book passed a bit of time, if you're not into pro cycling though you will fall asleep. It seems that Sky's success was simply due to much...

5.0 out of 5 stars A very insightful guide to the early days of Team Sky, 30 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Another quality cycling book from Richard Moore, this time as he goes behind the scenes of Team Sky's first foray into the Tour De France. Moore gets great access to the key characters and provides an informative account of that early period. A very good read, recommended.

I am one of the millions that have become interested in road cycling since the 2012 Olympics and was glued the this years Tour de France coverage.
The book was a little confusing for me as my knowledge level is very poor but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. I have just downloaded another one to discover the Lance Armstrong story.

Go Team Sky,

Fascinating story and a good lesson in how to systematically attack a problem and through a culture of excellence, achieve one's goals.
Dave Brailsford is an exceptional team builder in the mould of the finest leaders.
Yes it's a book about cycling but it is also a good book on strategy, leadership and team building.
It is no accident that Brailsford is so successful, Arise Sir David, you deserve it !
