A little disappointed
on 31 July 2013
The size is excellent for a pocket. The fonts and colours used are sharp and easy to read. There's no problem distinguishing the undotted I from the dotted i.
However, it's missing what I would consider to be basic words. For example, 'seyretmek' does not appear.
Words that have unexpected spellings - e.g. sana - are not listed. While this is understandable, it will make things more difficult for the beginner in Turkish.
In the Turkish-English section it would have been nice to have had a verb fully conjugated in all its tenses. A few pages explaining the various suffixes would also be helpful. Beginners in Turkish sometimes need reminders about which of -e, -de, -den is towards, at, from.
If you already know some Turkish and want something light and easy to use as an aide-memoire then this should be helpful. If you're a complete beginner then this probably isn't going to be a good starter dictionary and probably will not help translating Turkish text.
