I was so disappointed with this book - I wish I had read the reviews before buying it, but being written by Josephine Cox, I fully expected it to be very enjoyable. Sadly it was repetitive and very childish. I read it in two days and quite frankly was only too pleased to get to the end of it. Sorry Josephine, not up to your usual standard at all.

I picked this up thinking it would be the usual chic-lit stuff. I have a very high tolerance for frothy, poorly written novels but this is jaw dropppingly bad. Her prose style is that of a ten year old (at best), the plot lines are so thin as to be pretty much non-existent and the characterisation barely there.
This is obviously a cynical money spinner: releasing a book, way below standard, on the back of a well known name. If anyone else had written this book and submitted it to a publisher, the editor would have chucked it in the bin after reading the first paragraph.

I found this book to be extremely funny and totally different from her normal style of writing. Thoroughly enjoyable, especially the smelly dog. I haven't laughed so much for a long time. Well done Josephine.

This has to be the biggest pile of drivel I have read in a long time..........both the male characters are deplorable, the mother a psycho and the father a door mat and while I realise this may be the point it doesnt make for a good read and to top it all off the back half of the book (the copy I got anyways) was taken up by a preview of her next novel!!!! so not only is it deadly dire and dull you dont get your moneys worth either.

I didn't think that I would like this book as it was NOT Josephine's usual style and theme. However, the book was a brilliant read. SOOOO funny!! I enjoyed every page.

i laughed all the way through this book, i even kept running in to my children rreading passages to them...

Hilarious a far cry from Josephine's dark drama style books. I loved it the dog is the star and I laughed until I cried, I can safely say its one of the best books I have read this year, in fact so good I read it twice. Buy it it's brilliant I hope she writes more like this.

I have not read this book yet, but am sure will enjoy it like I have of all Josephine Cox' books
