5.0 out of 5 stars It's really good. The best Feist since the original trilogy.
Whew! That was a goodie.

After all the lazy, 180-page, phoned-in Riftwar novels we've had over the years, all the editorial mistakes, all the various, contradictory Big Bads we've had, "Magician's End" really pulls things together at the... well, at the *end*.

And it is an end. The final pages leave you in no doubt that although Midkemia may keep on...

3.0 out of 5 stars Overly long, undercooked and, sadly, time to go
I have really loved this series, like many others I bought Magician and was hooked. Unfortunately, things lost their way and never quite got back on track. Magician's End is admittedly a no-win scenario; the end is either too final or too vague depending on your take, I get that, it's just that, for me, the journey was not what I expected. The Jimmy the Hand Mark4...

This review is from: Magician's End (The Chaoswar Saga, Book 3) (Riftwar 4) (Hardcover)
Like many, I was keen to read the final instalment and understand, realise, conclude (sadly) the series from my favourite author Mr Raymond Feist.

Some of the intricacies are slow and there is a desire to jump forward, yet don't as it all comes together and there is such a perfect theological reference about death and angels/demons that it is fantastic. The characters are strong, robust yet the ending should make you weep as it is sad from a happy perspective; yet you only grasp this if you have read the book. Jumping to the last pages has no value. Book is fabulous, simple as that.Magician's End: The final volume in the epic Riftwar Cycle (Riftwar 4)

This review is from: Magician's End (The Chaoswar Saga, Book 3) (Riftwar 4) (Hardcover)
Last book of an epic series that I've read since the original Magician, still one of my favourite books ever. While I enjoyed the book it was always tinged with sadness that I was reading the last one.

5.0 out of 5 stars STUNNING FINALE, 11 May 2013
This review is from: Magician's End (The Chaoswar Saga, Book 3) (Riftwar 4) (Hardcover)
I have just finished Magicians End and there are few words that can describe how I feel after the series has finally finished!
After some truly horrible books in the middle the rift war cycle has come to a climax that is almost as good as the original: 'Magician'.
The way Feist deals with complex issues yet still gives everyone a good sword fight is truly amazing and I will miss Pug, Tomas, Nakor and even
Macros (although he does seem to be a character that was always brought back whenever just t explain a random plot line).

I will miss this series very much and as a whole they are truly the best series of books imaginable and dwarf Harry Potter in terms of scope
and true ability to suck a reader into a story line for over 30 years.
Thank you Ray for some amazing work you did us all proud

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Series, 11 May 2013

After 30 years with some downs the series ended with one of the best books ever written. Feist came through in the end to produce a fitting climax to one of the best series ever . For the last 30 years I have looked forward to every release and feel sad the end is here however the re reads will keep me going for some time yet. Well done.....
