Wake up medical profession and learn something new,
By P Blake (New York, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Asthma-Free Naturally: Everything you need to know about taking control of your asthma (Paperback)
Asthma free naturally. The medical profession have overlooked probably the only factor guaranteed to help solve your asthma. For some reason, people are not told to close their mouth or to correct their breathing. Why is this?Is there too much income to be earned from the existing structure? The Asthma Society who are suppossed to be our friends are funded by drug companies and so are afraid to rock the boat. Give asthmatics inhalers for the rest of their life and spend no research on hyperventilation. The medical profession have a lot to answer for. Meanwhile millions suffer- people like you and me. If you are asthmatic- you will understand what I mean from reading this book. Read this book and post your replys and let your voice be heard. You have suffered long enough. I cannot understand the logic, of why this is not taught to every adult and child.

Asthma Free Naturally,
By Kevin (UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Asthma-Free Naturally: Everything you need to know about taking control of your asthma (Paperback)
After reading this book I realised that all asthmatics should be taught the principles of breathing through their noseonly and that there is indeed a natural solution. This is ultimately what Asthma free naturally is about. Unblock your nose with a simple breath hold, switch to nasal breathing and look at diet, exercise, sleeping and our lifestyle. I found the book to be most helpful, and enjoyable but more importantly my symptoms have decreased since using the exercises. No asthmatic can afford not to read this book.

This review is from: Asthma Free Naturally: Including the highly effective Buteyko Breathing Method (Paperback)
Throughout the years, I can say that I have tried many different therapiesfor asthma and after a while I had no other choice but to accept mycondition. I purchased Asthma Free Naturally- by Patrick McKeown two weeksago and have applied the therapy which is Buteyko Breathing Method, information on diet, correct physical activity and breathing exercises. Myasthma has improved very much- my wheeze is decreasing- not totally butmuch better in months. My cough especially at night is much better. Ithink all asthmatics should seriously consider this book.Paul Macken

The most important medical discovery of the 20th century,
By J Swift (Buckinghamshire) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Asthma-Free Naturally: Everything you need to know about taking control of your asthma (Paperback)
After being very active and fit throughout school, I suddenly found myself at 17 with a number of unpleasant and seemingly unrelated afflictions: anxiety, allergies, dizziness, frequent colds, apathy and lack of energy, and a chronic feeling of restricted breathing. After several years receiving conventional asthma treatment (ventolin and beclomethasome) my condition started to worsen, and seemed to stop responding to medication. I found myself having to spend most the day indoors with a HEPA air filter, suffering from frequent allergy and asthma attacks, hardly sleeping, and wondering whether I'd ever be able to return to a normal life. It was only by sheer chance I happened to stumble across a guide to the "Buteyko technique" on a Google search. Having nothing to lose I thought I'd give it a go - but must admit to being skeptical that breathing exercises could really offer much more than some mild relaxation. The exercises did feel quite uncomfortable at first, and my enthusiasm to continue was certainly tested - but to my amazement, by the third or fourth day, I realised I had actually gained a degree of control over my symptoms... For once, sleeping was not an issue - the relaxed, shallow breathing exercises at night time ensured an easy transition into deep, undisturbed sleep, and a noticable improvement in energy and concentration the next day. Over the next few weeks I noticed a profound reduction in asthma and allergy symptoms - I soon took myself off all asthma medication (seek medical advice etc.!), and have felt all the better for it. I also noticed other symptoms, which were being treated (or mis-treated) separately, such as the anxiety, fatigue and dizziness, fade rapidly, and was soon enjoying regular exercise and activity again. I only wish I'd had Patrick's book in the early days, as it answers so many questions I had throughout my recovery. Asthma Free Naturally will certainly provide an invaluable resource and easy to follow guide to self-healing for anyone suffering from respiratory problems. And in my opinion, breathing correction should be the first thing considered in treating conditions such as panic disorder, allergies or chronic fatigue, with or without obvious respiratory symptoms. I have since recommended this book to everyone I know suffering from asthma and/or general ill-health.

a natural miracle,

This review is from: Asthma-Free Naturally: Everything you need to know about taking control of your asthma (Paperback)
the day i bought this book, I had actually already bought 2 books already and had overspent, so I thought i'd read a bit of it in the coffee shop of a certain high street bookshop. Anyway, i was thinking that if it was any good, i'd go home and order it online.I have had a blocked nose forever, i.e. i was a mouth breather, which is in fact very unhealthy, anyway, I read its exercise on unblocking the nose and my nose was unblocked within a few minutes. I just couldnt believe it, and many people will probably think i am making this up, as it does sound a bit far fetched. Anyway, I bought the book there and then and read it all within the next1-2 days, applying the exercises ever since. My condition is getting better all the time (its not possible to be 100% cured in a few minutes), and I also have extra motivation and energy, even my skin rashes are healing. (just want to let people know that part of my improved health may be down to the other book i bought that day 'the ph miracle for diabetes' - i am not diabetic but do have high blood sugar). Overall, these 2 books have given me a new life

Fantastic Results - Nearly asthma free,
By Carla Collins (Galway) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Asthma-Free Naturally: Everything you need to know about taking control of your asthma (Paperback)
I have had asthma for nearly 23 years and had been steadily increasing my medication over the years which was worrying. I was always sporty and found it increasingly difficult to keep up exercise without lapsing into a coughing attack. However, when I stumbled across this book I got my life back. The simple exercises have allowed me to gradually decrease my medication. I am back playing sport 3 times a week without any wheeziness. I feel fantastic and my quality of life has improved immensly as a result. I cannot believe that i have reversed my asthma and reduced my spending on medication by hundreds of euros a year. I am truly grateful to Patrick McKeown who has given me back a quality of life I thought was long gone.

Everything dispatches programme suggested and much more,
By Mike Dee "Mike" (New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Asthma-Free Naturally: Everything you need to know about taking control of your asthma (Paperback)
Channell four dispatches programme featured children with asthma being helped by removing dust mites and triggers from the home. The improvement was considerable in less symptoms, less need for reliever and far better sleep. This book has all the information required to do the same. In addition it contains breathing exercises from the Buteyko method. This is by far the most worthwhile book I have bought for asthma in the past ten years. It is a great resource and contains as the title suggests everything that you need to know about taking control naturally

Great Book.,

I thought this book provided great advice on how to correct my breathing. I have found it particularly useful for overcoming nasal congestion and helping me to breathe correctly during physical exercise. The book is easily understandable and the exercises are so simple to use. I use to suffer terribly from colds and chest infections and from applying the exercises I feel better than i have in years.

Absolute must for asthmatics,
By Al Brown (Bath, England) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Asthma-Free Naturally: Everything you need to know about taking control of your asthma (Paperback)
Buteyko breathing and helpful accounts of diet and exercise- ground breaking stuff. I would advise readers to do their research on Buteyko especially if they have breathing related problems. The site of the book is http://www.asthma-care.com/ - look at the history, conditions, and scientific evidence from the New Zealand Medical Journal and Australia Medical Journal. It is incredible that this approach has not being adopted into mainstream medication - maybe this will happen but will surely take time. You can take the first steps now- read this book
