While remaining true to fairly standard tarot, Paterson and Davis produced a minor work of art which will be accessible to practiced tarot users yet also immediately significant for any with a background in celtic, pagan, wiccan and arthurian sybolism. Dont be put off by that list, it works!

A beautiful deck for an experienced tarot user. However the minor arcana cards do no have images on them other than such as; 3 swords for the 3 of swords or ten swords for the ten of swords, there are no clues to the meanings, so you need to know the traditional meanings already or rely on the accompanying handbook to get up to speed. Otherwise a lovely set.

This set of Tarot cards is one of the best series of cards on the market for me. All of the elements of any good Tarot set are there - for example, the Wheel of Fortune card has the fourfold Occult symbols woven into the wheel. All the details that should be there are there. But that's just the basics - these cards really live through the richness of the artwork. They are just nice to have as display items, nevermind their use as a divinatory tool. I love them!

I had this deck around twenty years ago, and loved it, I'm really pleased to have it in my collection again. I love the feel of the cards, the art work. I have bonded completely with it, Helena Paterson has written a great accompanying book to it. Well suited for the beginner, although the deck's Minor Arcana has 'pips' as opposed to 'scenes', the beautiful art work is terrific.
