This review is from: Agatha Christie's Poirot: The Life and Times of Hercule Poirot (Paperback)
The definitive guide to Hercule Poirot. The Agatha Christie stories have been thoroughly digested to provide a very in-depth look at his character as revealed within the stories, his friends & colleagues, from his origins to his final story, "Curtain". The book also includes a complete bibliography, with comments on the stories, and a list of TV and film appearances. The book is also beautifully written and presented in a very suitable "Christie" style. Until someone writes a book on the making of the Carnival Films TV series with David Suchet, this has to be THE book for all fans of Poirot.

4.0 out of 5 stars A reminder of why we love Poirot, 18 Oct. 2014

Poirot fans (and who isn't?) will enjoy this book. It doesn't really tell you anything you don't already know, but it acts as a reminder of why we love Poirot and the stories featuring him. Really, it is a series of extracts from the books, loosely grouped together under a chapter heading and joined together by commentary showing how his character developed over the many years that he solved crimes for Scotland Yard to get the credit. I would have liked more insight, but no matter, it is still worth reading.
