How refreshing to watch Keith Floyd at work, cooking in the open air in India. It's a joy to see his natural flair for cooking and his obvious skill at taking common recipes and demonstrating their make up and preparation in a manner which is easy to follow and practical.
I particularly enjoy the fact that Floyd gets out into the regions, the markets, the regular restaurants used by the locals, the fishing ports and so on, rather than staying in a plush UK recording studio or London restaurant environment.
The resulting food might not be 'true' Indian, but it cetainly looks good to me and the book is an excellent addition to the TV series. If you enjoyed the programme, buy the book.

Frequently maligned in the media for his alleged excesses, there's little doubt that Keith Floyd worked very hard and his original approach to cookery programmes set the bar (sic) very high for others to follow. This book is one of his best in both being entertaining and detailing, what can be quite complicated cooking, into easier steps.

I have rated this book two stars because although there are some very interesting recipes in this book, this book has not been formatted properly for the Kindle. In addition there picture quality of the photos are horrible, but what's worse is that there isn't accompanying picture for each dish. It's not. Practical book for the Kindle.

I was so glad I saw this book on Amazon. I had been looking all over for a copy since I missed buying one when the series was first shown.

Full instructions and wonderful pictures can not fail to fire your desire for Indian food.

I loved the way this man cooked, he had style and flair. It's a pity he has passed on. This book and others are a great legacy and still great fun to read.

I enjoyed the book, but was a little disappointed with the recipes. Good, but not as good as his other books.

Keith Floyd is a legend. He was a genious with his own recipes and a generous to share the genious of other's recipes which is what he has done here. A great read, the only slight moan is that some of the recipe method desriptions seem to lack the odd snippet here and there but its not a major gripe. Loads of the recipes are also very adaptable, the dhansak for instance can be used as a base recipe to modify to your hearts content... I miss this guy !! but his books and programs live on. 10/10
