5.0 out of 5 stars Surreal alphabet adventure
When Mog misbehaves at Debbie's birthday party, she skulks away in disgrace and falls asleep under the table. Her dreams lead us on a surreal journey through the alphabet, but all ends well when she awakes in time for Debbie's birthday trip to the zoo.
This is a great alternative to the usual 'A is for apple, B is for ball' type of alphabet books. The story keeps...

Thankfully we didnt buy this book and picked it up at our local library instead .Whilst my daughter and i were excited about reading another installment of Mog , this episode is very dissapointing. As i was reading along to my daughter i found myself drifting off and finding it difficult for it to hold my attention or even conjure up any imagery at all.My daughter who...

This is a great alternative to the usual 'A is for apple, B is for ball' type of alphabet books. The story keeps children involved and encourages frequent reading, whilst the wonderful illustrations mean that a number of unfamiliar words are painlessly absorbed into the child's vocabulary.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surreal alphabet journey, 23 Jun. 2003
When Mog causes mayhem at Debbie's birthday party, she skulks away in disgrace and falls asleep under the table. Her dreams take her on a surreal journey through the alphabet, before she awakes to join Debbie and her friends at the zoo. This is a great book to make learning letters more exciting than just A for apple, B for ball etc., as toddlers see it as a story rather than just a learning exercise. The illustrations are delightful, and help introduce a number of unfamiliar words painlessly.

2.0 out of 5 stars Far Too Random, 26 April 2012
Thankfully we didnt buy this book and picked it up at our local library instead .Whilst my daughter and i were excited about reading another installment of Mog , this episode is very dissapointing. As i was reading along to my daughter i found myself drifting off and finding it difficult for it to hold my attention or even conjure up any imagery at all.My daughter who adored Mog the forgetful cat was pretty non plussed too .

Whilst i appreciate that childrens stories are sometimes random and off the wall they still have some structure this really didnt seem to have any at all .Mog falls asleep under a table after bursting a little girls balloon at a birthday party whilst asleep she starts dreaming about animals at the zoo .Then its a matter of rhymes and verses all beggining with the letters of the alphabet. It just doesnt flow well.

Ive given this 2 stars because the illustrations are still lovely just a shame that the story is abit mehh!!
