Joe says:
I find this concept of post-evangelical fascinating, be it Tomlinson's book "the post evangelical" or his latest one "Re-enchanting Christianity". I count myself as a post evangelical, no longer accepting without question doctrines that are commonplace amongst evangelicals. Other authors such as Alan Jamieson touch this same issue in "Churchless Faith", in which he looks at people who have left the Church but have not given up on Christianity. Tomlinson and Jamieson both mention the stages of faith, which demonstrates how people can move through faith and indeed other aspects of life in stages. The conformist stage applies to many in evangelical churches, but what of the other stages; where are they to be found? Where do you go after Church?
