Generally disappointing. a short musical programme padded out by a totally irrelevant few minutes of placido getting off a plane & then with miles of walking by the two singers & the conductor between backstage & the podium. Singing lovely & warm (among my personal stars) but not up to their usual best(sometimes one finds oneself more attentive to Domingos mangling of the italian text than moved by the beauty of his expression) & perhaps this is due to the conductor, self-effacing to the point of anonymity- not least for the orchestra!
The real black marks , however, go to the editors, who took the program apparently straight from Czech TV with no editing. No booklet, no translations, no notes except a few onscreen if called up, generally inane if not quite wrong.

I would have been very happy to be present at this concert, Placido Domingo seemed to be enjoying himself as much as the appreciative audience. This DVD had excellent sound and picture, I recommend it to those who appreciate all of the above.
