5.0 out of 5 stars Female Domination by Elise Sutton, 24 Nov 2005
By Stephen Sparke "paisleypanda" (Yorks UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
For years I had wanted to confess to my Wife that I was a 'closet submissive'. I desperately wanted her to dominate me but was scared to approach the subject with her. I had bought many books on Female dominance but Elise Sutton's 'Female Domination' is by far the best. It was the only book I felt I could show my Wife in the hope that she might understand my desire. She was a little apprehensive so I asked her to just read the introduction, nothing more. Now she can't put the book down! She loves it and is really racing through it. The book explains why men need to be dominated. It also explains, from a Woman's point of view the advantages of being dominant, and there are many!. Thanks to this book, both of our lives have improved. It is the perfect 'ice breaker' for a potential submissive to give to the woman in his life and I cannot recommend it highly enough!

5.0 out of 5 stars This life as it is really lived, 18 Aug 2007
Elise Sutton is a intelligent and a compassionate observer of the gamut of activities which take place under the name of Female Domination. This book is filled with first-person real-life accounts from many different couples. In a way this books is Studs Terkel for dominants and submissives.

Hearing the words of the many men and women for whom this life is fulfilling, affirming, and in fact loving, dispels the ugly distortion of the D/s lifestyle which is so prevalent in the mainstream media. In this book you hear from the real people for which Female Domination is a very positive way of life.

If you are a submissive man trapped on the threshold between acting your dream or staying in the closet forever, you really should read this book. If you are a dominant woman, or a woman who thinks she might be one, you might benefit from and enjoy this book as well.

2.0 out of 5 stars The Femdom Delusion., 25 Nov 2007
By Swiper (United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
There seems to be a fine line between social philosophy and social delusion. The intelligent person understands the difference between both. "Female Domination" is a book written by a psychotherapist Elise Sutton whose joie de vivre is D/s relationships specifically dealing with the concept of female domination and male submissive erotic relationships.

Throughout this book I couldn't help noticing that Elise was attributing realistic relationship sexual practices and marrying them with her own philosophy, which happens to be her fervent belief in female supremacy - and not just women of the dominant nature but women as a whole gender - which I can't help but see that this book happens to be more propaganda than educational about alternative relationships. A good example happens to be one of Elise's arguments that female domination of the male gender happens to be proof of social change specifically with the way in which feminism has helped in empowering women which Elise has misconstrued as it being evidence of women's forthcoming "natural superiority" of the male gender. As a philosophy it seems great if it`s the product of a fertile, kinky imagination that does not extend as if it should be according to everyone else, and seen as nothing more.

In reality this book is only best read when taking the opening disclaimer as gospel and the rest of the book as pure fantasy.
