When I first saw this book it seemed to answer all of my wishes. A comprehensive compilation of songs from nearly all of the shows you could wish for. Not only famous standards, but lesser known songs (142 in all, in the one volume) to give a great selection to sing. The good thing about this book is the range of songs from early Broadway shows to the modern allowing a selection to suit your every mood.
Of course, there will always be one or two of your personal choices missing, but, on the whole a well thought out and well presented volume which you will keep using year after year for your own and, hopefully, other's pleasure.
Watch out for the ring binding. It can become loose after use if you are not careful!
