Product Description

Product Description

The full extent of the devastation caused by the Genesis Wave is only now being recognised. An entire sector of space has been reduced to the most primitive levels, and more than one high-tech interstellar civilisation lies in ruins. Helping rebuild them from the ground up is the Genesis Force, a covert Federation group of humans and aliens with extra abilties greater than those of the average humanoid. Their mission: to remake the devastated worlds so that new life can flourish, and to protect the people of the newly named Genesis Sector from those who would seek to conquer and exploit them.

About the Author

John Vornholt is the author of several bestsellling Star Trek novels including two of the hugely successful four-volume Next Generation/Deep Space Nine DOMINION WAR sequence. He lives in Tuscon, Arizona.

5.0 out of 5 stars Genesis Four, 25 Oct 2003
I would consider this the forth in the Genesis Wave series rather than a separate entity. Whilst it can stand on its own very successfully due to different way this novel is written understanding the back-story of the genesis wave makes understanding it much easier. That said it is a very good book, though the synopsis is slightly misleading, the whole idea of the genesis force seems very vague to me, the story covers more of the plight of a single planet rather than the whole ‘genesis sector’. The people of this planet are what most of the book is about and the Next Gen. crew and Enterprise aren’t in most of it, though Worf and his sons feature quite prominently.
I’m sure more books covering other planets affected by the wave could follow in this format which after enjoying this so much I’d gladly read.
All in all this is a book for star trek fans, and if you’re planning to get it I suggest you get the three genesis wave books first.
