Product Description

Award-winning design and outstanding functionality for a food storage container with bite

This is the latest refinement of the MB Original with many new features and improvements.

The tactile exterior of this bento box is soft to the touch, making it less likely that you will drop your lunch box as you reach across your desk, starving, to devour the morsels inside. Why is it on your desk? Because this is a masterfully minimalist food storage container that is wasted hidden inside a drawer.

It is constructed from two 100% airtight containers that are held securely together with a wide elastic strap. This kit comes with two intermediary lids that can seal any liquids into the containers, and a divider to keep food separated inside the container.

Key Features:
- Hermetically airtight
- Microwave & dishwasher safe
- Freezer safe
- BPA-free & Food Safe

Specifications:
- Materials: Silicone, Polybutylene Terephthalate (PT), Polypropylene (PP)
- Dimensions: 18.5cm (L) x 9.4cm (W) x 10cm (H)

Included:
- 2 containers, 1 lid (PBT)

I am seriously impressed.

I must say, the price was the main factor that made me hesitate at first. But my goodness, even though it's a lunchbox, I think it feels pretty premium.

I've been looking for a long time for a lunchbox that isn't too big or too small, is good for food photography, is microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe... And looks good! I think I may have found it.

I have attached a couple of photos, showing different configurations and how you can use it in different ways. It comes with the band, a grey section and air tight seal, a small grey tub to put sauces or small portioned stuff in, a white section with another grey seal and a grey lid, plus an instruction manual with information of maximum temperatures, washing instructions and microwave instructions.

As you can see, you can put the band lengthways to take just one half of the lunchbox if you don't need too much.

In the picture with my hand, you can see how it compares - I have fairly large hands for a teenage girl but with a capacity of 1000ml it seems like it will have enough room for food, as you can always eat more calorie dense stuff if you need more.

The small pot that comes with it seems to fit flush with the air tight plastic seals, however I wouldn't trust putting liquids in that part as it may leak into the rest of the contents. Would be good for fruit though, perhaps, or nuts to keep serving sizes to a reasonable amount.

The packaging it came in was sleek and the box it was posted in had plenty of paper padding. While the box itself is more expensive than your average £2 Tupperware, the smooth feel and clever design has clinched it for me!

Looks and feels brilliant. easy to clean. can fit a good size lunch in there. microwave and dishwasher friendly. hasn't lost its shape in any way. its a bit pricey but as far as i'm concerned it's worth every penny. i doubt if there is a more bespoke plastic bento on the market right now unless you want to import one from Japan.

I've had this lunch box now for a good few months, and there's only good things to say about it!

1) The size for me is perfect. I usually fill half with fruit and vegetables and the other half with bits and bobs (cheese, ham, nuts etc).

2) Some days I take a sandwhich or soup in another container so therefore I only use half of this lunchbox...still great, just turn the band the other way to keep it secure!

3) On the topic of secure, this lunchbox is just that! I have never had it come loose or leak. I'm not sure how well it holds up with liquids, because I've never tried, but juicy salads stay where I put them!

4) It looks good. Not a necessity of a lunchbox but I really like the way it looks! Plus with the style being more 'vertical', I can keep it on my desk at uni and not have it get in the way.

5) Almost forgot - it's super easy to clean! Everything comes apart so you can give everything a good scrub. I hand wash it, not sure if it's dishwasher safe?

If your looking for a simple, compartmented, safe lunchbox then this is for you :)

A nice thing, packaging was a little bashed but generally good. Was brought as a gift and have brought again since.

Awesome product that's well worth the price 10 Mar. 2014

My husband recently started riding his bike to work and needed something compact and light to pack his lunch. I bought this base on the reviews, and I am so glad I did. My husband loves the container. It's compact, but pack the perfect lunch portion. It has a separator that you can neatly put in your food. I took the advice of other reviews, and told him not to use the air vent when microwaving to keep the shape of the lids. Instead, he usually put them on loosely while they are in the microwave. We have had that for about 2 months now, and it still looks as good as new. In fact, I bought another one so that I can prep lunch easier for him.

The only minor complaint about this is that the separator isn't a snug fit so that any liquids or sauce would eventually get mix to everything. I just bought silicone molds they make so that should solve the issue. Too bad they don't make similar products in glass. Otherwise, I would use them for my own lunches too (I drive to work so it doesn't matter, plus glass is better than plastic.)
Really good product. Pricey, but the money saved from eating out justified the purchase. 24 Jan. 2015

Give it five starts because for high priced plastic, they did a great job making them. Surprisingly small, but once they are used, you realize that they hold a good amount of food. The money saved by packing my own meal easily justified the initial cost. The two color choice turned out to be quite functional. They also look nice and will likely last a long time.

I bought this to conserve space and be lighter, and it definitely does the job. It also does not leak which is great since it lives in my backpack. I just wish it wasn't plastic.

Product functions well but I am dissappointed with the quality of the resin for the large price tag.
