Product Description

A TNP Accessories foam roller is a cylinder made of foam that is usually 34cm long x 14cm in diameter. Your body weight is used to provide pressure when lying or sitting on the foam roller. Rolling your muscles along the foam roller help break up adhesions that form on your muscles, much like a massage would typically do. The foam roller, which is ideal for using on hard to reach areas, provides more relief and benefits than simple static stretching might. The Beast Foam Roller can provide relief to the illiotibial band, which is commonly injured or overworked in athletes. It can also offer relief to other muscles that have knots or muscles tightness. To use the roller, start by lying on your side with your body perpendicular to the roller while supporting yourself on your elbow. Roll from the top of your hip down the lateral side of your thigh towards your knee. As you roll, search for areas of tension, which may also feel painful. You can either pause on those areas to help release some of the tension, or apply long, sweeping strokes up and down the muscle you're focusing on. Though the foam roller can be used on any muscle, depending on where your soreness is located, never use the roller to put pressure on bones. While any average person or athlete could benefit from the foam roller, physical therapy patients can help further their progress by practicing SMR several times per week. A foam roller helps break down scar tissue, which can often be the cause of an injuiry. When your muscles are torn, as a result of working out, your muscle fibers shorten and scar tissue is formed, thus causing soft tissue injury. Continually injuring your scar tissue can lead to chronic pain and more serious injury. Foam rolling can slowly alleviate the pain from an injury as well as offer injury prevention for the future.

I've had this roller for about 9 months now, and has been used at least 3 times per week.. I'm 5'10,13.5 stone and last week the plastic tube inside starting cracking and basically caved in.
The foam knobbles on the exterior aren't as scary as they look, and in fact they are very soft and don't really do anything.
Don't get me wrong this thing does what it's suppose to but lacks in longevity.

Having used a few foam rollers before this one's one of the better ones i've had. Being extra wide is a god send. I used to have one half the width and it's simply too hard to roll out the whole back. This one i can spread out and really get into the good spots.
The beast is good in that the uneven bumps on it do really sort out kinks in the muscles, downside of that is that it doesn't smoothly roll over the ground, because it's lumpy, it rolls lumpy too. So it's best used on carpet rather than timber floors as it gets more purchase on the carpet and tends to shift a little bit when on the timber floor.
It's also pretty firm, so if you're not one for a bit of enjoyable pain it might be too hard for you. I like it because whether its on the back, legs or even feet it really gets in there are you can roll the bejeezuz outta your knots and tight spots.
All in all its a cracking foam roller, highly recommended

A really good foam roller, have used it nearly every day, but unfortunately inner tube sleeve developed a split after 4 months.

Although this is foam I still find it hard on my leg, but this isn't a complaint it's a good thing as it needs to be firm to roll out the knots in my muscles. I suffer with spasticity it my leg and being rolled like a piece of pastry (although painful at first) releases/relaxes the muscles. I would definitely recommend it. (the product not being rolled like a piece of pastry!)

Brilliant, I had chronic back pain for 3 months in the thoracic region and got this to do some exercises I saw on youtube. On the first back roll my back gave a resounding crack and the pain was gone! Bliss! It is also a very good roller, not too hard, a bit like a car tyre and supports my weight with ease.

Pink was the cheapest when I bought it, so that is what I have.
Much harder than a normal foam roller but a lot softer than plain PVC pipe.

Works well but when rolling whole thigh, switching from one pattern to the other can drastically change the pressure on the muscle.
Useless for hamstring but so are all foam rollers I have used.
