can I load tnis on a newly reformatted hard disk

I have had to remove all windows products from my hard drive since vista was hit by malware even though I had AVG installed
wil this install on a newly formatted drive

Yes it will it is not an upgrade, But get a good Anti virus AVG is free and you get what you pay for. as you have found out to your cost....

thank you for your reply it turned to be a memory block failure I agree you get what you pay for but unfortunately this was a paid for avg v9 . thanks for your help

AVG is an excellent tool, but malware is not all about viruses. I still use AVG but supplement with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to polish off anything else spammy or adware (it is not an AV kit).

yes quite easily but once installed do not use anti virus products from others but install microsofts security essentials from microsoft it is far more superior and totally free
