I bought the mobile hub for my elderly mother who uses a landline phone adapted for people with disabilities such as partial sight and dementia. When she moved into a care home she could not easily have her own landline, but the liGo hub has enabled her to keep the phone she is able to use. It was very simple to pair the hub to an old mobile phone and then plug mum's adapted handset into the hub. It works brilliantly and mum is delighted.
Could it be cheaper? Probably, because it's new to the UK market, but it works extremely well and you you get what you pay for. In my case I compared the price with the cost of having a new landline installed for my mother and the mobile hub was cheaper than any landline deal available in our area.
Leaving my mother's particular circumstances aside, at some point I would certainly consider buying another liGo hub for my own use to solve the problem of the poor mobile signal in most of our house.

Put your mobile close to this mobile hub and its Excellent but if your mobile is a little distance from it you suffer with fuzzy line and not a good experience. The other problem I had was with BT phones but after I got an adapter everything worked perfect. I am on the 3 network and in my house I have to stand near the window to make a call and leave my phone near a good spot which is in the couboard for some reason. Now I never miss a call. Its just like talking on a landline and the answer machine works as well. RECOMMENDED YES

It's an expensive item. Fair enough perhaps and we can all decide if its worth it to us, but for that amount of money I expect:-

It to work with all phones; out of the box usability and reliability.
Quick delivery.

It achieves neither. The free delivery option is I think stated as 3-4 working days, once you get to check out. Sure you can pay even more for quicker delivery, but if you don't, that's nearly a week unless you order on a Monday.

This would be OK of course as its a temporary irritation (and I would not have reviewed on that basis alone), but guess what, it does not work with my BT Inspire 1500. Another reviewer makes the same comment about not working with BT phones, so I am thinking design fault, not a build fault. No idea what this "adaptor" that the other reviewer refers to is, and neither did the LiGo person I spoke to either.

It works with an old Betacom phone, again suggesting a design, not a build, fault; but the whole point was to integrate with my main walkie phones, so its useless to me as it is. The strap line is "Works with any mobile phone with any home phone" - this appears not to be true. If you can find the (identical but for the US market) Xlink product on Amazon.com, you will see similar incompatibility issues listed and a lot more reviews. Most are positive to be fair, but not all. One star because I do hate it - I have to jump through hoops to send it back and I really wanted it to work.

LiGo have said that they will look at it, but I got the feeling from the lack of complete surprise when I spoke to them that this is not an isolated issue.

The LiGo behaves as promised: it picks up the signal of to different mobile phones. However, the sound quality is not good: as if you are calling from a car in the middle of nowhere with a storm going on. Because of this it is not pleasant to have a conversation thru the liGo. For quick responses it is okay.

This item is NOT compatible with all cordless or corded phones. BT phones will not work with Bluewave at all. Problem solved by Ligo by selling another set of Seimens Gigaset phones which work well. Quite a lot of inconvenience involved. Advert could point this fact out but it is now being sold as a package with BT4500, a good phone but will not work with Bluewave, come on Ligo, be honest with ads!!!
