More About the Author

"There's a huge amount of persuasive power in what Jason says, helped considerably by the fact his delivery is an entertaining mix of the comic styles of Lee Evans, Norman Wisdom and Eddie Izzard." - Daily Mail

Jason Vale, aka 'Juice Master', is the best-selling author of eleven books on health, addiction and juicing. His books have now sold over 3 million copies and have been translated into many languages. His most well known book - 7lbs In 7 days: The Juice Master Diet - went to number one of all books on Amazon and on Play.com it even knocked the Da Vinci Code from the top spot.

Jason wasn't always slim and healthy; he used to suffer from severe psoriasis, eczema, asthma, hay fever and obesity. He used to smoke 2 - 3 packets of cigarettes a day and drank very heavily, drinking up to 14 pints of lager a day. He has used juicing as the main tool to clear his skin, drop the weight and free himself of illness. He is now on a mission to 'Juice The World' and help people to turn their health around using natural means where possible.

"The Jamie Oliver Of Juicing" - OK! Magazine

Jason has also released a series of health and addiction apps for Android and iOS. Each of these have reached No.1 in their respective categories, beating Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson, Gordon Ramsey etc in 'highest grossing' in the extremely competitive 'Food & Drink' category. Over half a million 'Jason Vale' apps have now been sold.

"The juice programme works. If it can work for me it can work for anyone." - Katie Price (Jordan)

In 2002 Jason was asked by Moulinex to be the face of their juicers. Moulinex soon became the best-selling juicer in the country. In 2005 Philips headhunted Jason to be the face of their range of juicers and blenders in the UK and throughout Europe. Philips soon became, and remained, the best-selling juicer during Jason's endorsement.

In 2013 Tristar products approached Jason to be the new 'Jack La Lanne' in the USA. The Fusion Juicer, and Jason, have been a real hit in the US so Tristar extended the agreement to make it global.

Jason is now the worldwide face of the Fusion range of juicers and blenders.

"The Most Successful Juicing Programme In The World" - OK! Magazine

Jason regularly appears on radio, television and in the press. Some of the Magazines and TV Shows Jason has appeared on include:
This Morning, Lorraine, The Wright Stuff, Sunday Brunch, Alan Titchmarsh Show, Gaby Logan, Gaby Roslin, Steve Wright, Chris Evans, BBC, GMTV, RTE, to name but a few. He has also appeared on QVC USA and QVC UK promoting his range of juicers.

His latest project has been the groundbreaking film Super Juice Me! One Disease - One Solution? The UK Premiere took place at London's prestigious Odeon 'West End' on Leicester Square to a celebrity packed audience. The film has received 5* reviews and hundreds of thousands of people viewed the film in its first week.

"When it comes to juicing for health and well-being there's only one man for the job, the undisputed king of juicing Jason Vale! He will literally change your life!" - Alesha Dixson (Singer and judge on Britain's Got Talent)

Celebrities who have been reported as having done a Jason Vale Juice Programme include:

Gary Lineker, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Sarah Jessica Parker, Naomi Campbell, Katie Price, Amanda Holden, Beverley Knight, Alesha Dixson, Sarah Harding, Ashley Roberts, Phil (The Power) Taylor, Carol Vorderman, Aled Jones, Tulisa Contostavlos, Eamonn Holmes, Katherine Ryan, Gemma Atkinson, Emma Willis, Matt Willis, Harry Judd, Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Calum Best, Tamzin Outhwaite, Angela Griffin, Samantha Womack, Kerry Katona, Marvin Humes (JLS), Rochelle Humes (The Saturdays) Frankie Sandford (The Saturdays), Katie Piper, Jason Gardiner, Scott Mills, Jennifer Ellison, Natasha Hamilton, Rylan Clark, Casey Batchelor, Linda Barker, Cherry Healey, Abi Titmus, Amanda Byram, Alison Hammond, Gemma Cairney.

"When the alarm goes off at 7am I head downstairs and get out the juicer. I throw in three carrots, four florets of broccoli, some cucumber, celery, an apple and a tiny piece of ginger. After reading Jason Vale's Juice Master book a couple of years ago, I've become a complete convert" - Simon Nixon (Internet Entrepreneur & Co-Founder of moneysupermarket.com)

Three weeks ago I hadn't even heard of Jason Vale. On a Wednesday I read his book. I then bought the juicer and wheatgrass and spirulina powders. I bought the groceries, made my own wall planner for FREE (Jason, take note) and reorganized my kitchen to create a dedicated juice station.Once organized, I started the diet.

THE DIET - As with any diet, the people with the most to lose are the ones who lose the most. I had less than a stone to lose so I wasn't expecting a miracle. No matter what Jason says, you cant lose the abs on just diet - flabby muscles (due to childbirth or overeating) can be only be battled with exercise. So even if you did this diet for a year, you'd still have the abs, just shrunk, but no more attractive than when you first began.
Being of a stubborn nature I saw this plan through to the end, determined to feel the exhilaration of self-respect and self-discovery; I would've been ashamed had I caved in. I was able to resist all sorts of temptations with ease, surprising even myself, since chocolate has been my best friend this past stressful year (hence the stone that needs losing). The plan also gave me the push I needed to start exercising again, half hour of cardio one day alternating with abs exercise the next.
As I eat clean most days anyway, and don't drink tea, coffee or alcohol, I didn't suffer any withdrawal symptoms, and was able to ignore the growling tummy without too much angst; I also tend to skip meals so this diet will be harder for people who religiously eat 3 square meals a day. I didn't do all 5 juices each day, averaging at about 4 a day, and from day 5 only 2.

I turned to juicing for 2 reasons. The first being, I had put on weight after being ill last year and had got into bad eating habits and my body felt sluggish and unhealthy. The second being, I decided my diet needed to change to try and avoid a repeat of my illness even though I had exercised regularly and eaten fairly healthily in the past.

7 days is a good kickstart and is not so daunting. As Jason says in his book, 'anyone can do it for just 7 days'. I like the way he writes; it is readable and not so formal and full of data that you feel like you are reading a research paper or technical 'how to' manual. He gets the relevant info across in a nice and relaxed way but still highly informative.

Seven days is not a long time out of your life but it can seem like a prison sentence when you start. The juice recipes are great. I was surprised, even with the ones which have beetroot, kale and other greens. Very nice! I found even on the first day that I was not able to consume all the juices included on the day's menu. I missed out 2! I had the lemon and water before I showered, followed by the juice afterwards, juice 3 hours later, the next juice I had about 4 hours later as I was not feeling particularly hungry and got distracted. I had my third juice for dinner and finally the fourth an hour before going to bed, purely because I was thirsty and I had missed out too many juices. That still left me short by one juice and a either a tea or the hot and spicey drink. The second day, I started to feel a little tired and headachey but I felt less bloated and actually not as hungry as I had thought I might.

Right. I am a 50 year old man, not massively overweight, naturally stocky, do irregular exercise, and eat all the usual stuff, from McDonalds and pizza to veggies and fruit and cereal. I have never done a "diet" in my life, because none of them looked vaguely appealing and I knew I would not stick to them. The closest I got was the Dukan for a week. Just got bored and didn't get the results promised.....but a friend of mine lost a LOT of weight by Juice Feasting, which, for me, looked too veggie based and extreme. So, inspired by him, I did my research and decided to do this.
It is well written (some find Jason too informal, I like it), informative and just common sense, in that "why on earth hadn't I thought of it like that?" way!! Did the program, religiously, although I did NO specific exercise as suggested, and I didn't drink any hot drinks in the morning, just water from the tap.
After 3 days I had lost 7lbs!! Could NOT believe it! After 7 days I had lost 10 lbs. I felt fresher, more awake, rarely hungry, LOVED the juices except for one which was OK, and have now gone on to the 14 day plan Turbo charge Your Life, though not so religiously. Got the app too which is brilliant value.
I did have severe headaches on day 2, as predicted, but given the amount of Diet Coke I was downing beforehand I am not surprised. But I will not be going back to chucking all the same unhealthy stuff down my throat that I have for ever, as I have been inspired by this book and Jason Vale to take more care. And I haven't had a Diet Coke or a Mcdonalds for three weeks.
If you stick to it, you WILL be thrilled with how you look and feel, I am sure!
Some people have bemoaned the cost of doing it.....
