Style over Substance,

This review is from: Joseph Joseph Index Plus (Kitchen & Home)
I recently bought these for House of Fraser in the sale (£45) and the boards slide about all over the work top making them more or less useless. I emailed Joseph Joseph about this design flaw and they replied stating that they are launching an updated version in 2011 with non-slip base so I would wait for the update until then.
Other flaws are that the boards mark very easily and are quite small in size. On a positive they do look very stylish in the kitchen. So in summary: Wait for the 2011 version with non-slip boards.

Not the best from Joseph Joseph,

Overall this is a nice looking set of chopping boards and knifes, admittedly they do have some faults but i do not regret buying them.
I have a small kitchen so space saving equipment is a must. I was impressed when i received these chopping boards and knifes as a gift. They are nicely packaged and look great when in the kitchen. I have several Joseph Joseph products and have always been impressed with their quality. However i have been a little let down with this product - I'd agree that the surface of the boards is easy to mark, especially if using large serrated knifes or heavy chopping. Having said that i'd expect them to get a bit of wear and tear as they are chopping boards after all and are used regularly. It redeems itself that you cant see the marks when the boards are in the holder - that still looks as good as new. I haven't noticed that these boards slip - i have a wooden work-top. You could try a tea towel underneath if you have a granite work-top ? These chopping boards do have good redeeming features - they are space saving, stylish, easy to clean and dishwasher safe. Overall i am satisfied but, having said that, if i was a more serious chef i would invest it a higher quality product.

Joseph Joseph Index Plus,
By Dockpudd "Geoff" (Leeds. UK) - See all my reviews

The joseph joseph product must be one of the worst and most expensive kitchen products I have ever purchased. Only 9 months old and the knives are starting to go pitted and rusty. This is the second product I have bought made by Joseph Joseph that has gone bad on me and I wrote to their customer service department and have had no reply.
