Just how much money to companies want to make out of michaels murder ? i for one will not be buying this afterall michael always liked to make sure each record release was dont to perfection, and there is absolutly no way michael could of done that with this release as he is sadly no longer with us,and the listed songs on this album are re-released songs so it is just another way (in my opinion)of making even more money from michaels loyal fans by ripping them off. They should now let michaels legacy stay in the past with his fantastic music THAT HE MADE AND CLEARED FOR RELEASE and not what the companies re-make for release just to make more money !!!
This is the soundtrack to the Cirque de Soleil show a project that he had stated a desire to do and is apparently outstanding. It is estate sanctioned therefore money made goes to his kids and charities. As a loyal fan I for 1 am also looking forward to hearing new unreleased music what a travesty it would be to leave what he worked for fester away somewhere unheard. It is said he left a large collection of unreleased music so that his children would be taken care of - would you deny them that? If you dont want to buy thats up to you but posting moaning about releases that you obviously know nothing about is pointless and makes you look rather silly.(In my rather more knowledgeable opinion)
Interesting to read both posts about this release on here. MJD obviously knows a lot more about the story behind this release but could have been a little kinder to Ms Mcilhone who (ill-informed or not) seems to me just as concerned about Michael and his family as MJD.
Still us fans can be passionate souls and at least both care enough to post! For my part, I've never been a lover of remixes anyway so whether Michael was up for it or not I will definitely listen to this before thinking of buying it. Michael was a genius and I am far more interested in hearing some of the unreleased and unheard stuff he recorded as a legacy for his kids.
Whatever, Michael was a man who stood for love and togetherness so lets all be nice on here, huh?
Sorry you are quite right Anthony too much time spent dealing with haters after the Murray trial affected my reply to Ms Mcilhone apologies to her too. I have heard some of the tracks from this album on the Michael Jackson website and they sound fantastic - have a listen- particularly Is it scary/Threatened/Thriller. The deluxe also has some unheard versions/ sections in that Michael did. I cant wait for this show to come to the UK it is getting rave reviews
Although I dissagree with you saying it was a "murder" (ever heard of mens rea?) I agree that his death is being milked appalingly, video games, dvd's, books, calendars, albums with songs that he clearly didn't intend to release, you name it they're releasing it. I bet Sony were jumping for joy the day he died, Morrissey wrote a lyric that fits this like a glove:
At the record company meeting On their hands - a dead star And oh, the plans they weave And oh, the sickening greed
I actually have nothing against posthumous releases but when it is so blatantly about money money money I think it is wrong. At least when Amy Winehouse died they used it for a good cause as opposed to lining the pockets of the record company bosses, they've already murdered popular music, now they're sh***ng all over the memory of Michael Jackson.
Did you hear they sold his death bed (no joke)? I think the Jackson estate should be ashamed.
oh dear more rumours -the bed was supposed to be sold but has been removed from the auction now and by the way the bed is owned by the owners of the rented house that he was living in not the estate. Although as a general rule I would say the ones who need to be ashamed are the Jackson family not the estate.
