Does the DVD version have the 3D footage needing those red and green glasses or is it just the 'flattened' version

Yes there was a version in the 90's sold on VHS that said "Amityville 3d".

That was a flattened version not in 3d.

I bought that on the basis it was 3d when it wasnt.

I threatened the shop at the time that that item contravened trading standard. I was eventually given my money back.
