Product Description

The ioShutter is a fully-functional shutter release system for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. With programmable and upgradable timers, time-lapse, bult for long exposures, ClapToSnap sound trigger, ShakeToTake movement trigger and more. The only thing extra you will need is the ioShutter App you can download from the App Store on you Apple device!

ioShutter App:

The ioShutter App is available to download from the iTunes store now. Comes as either a free Lite version with basic features, and a Pro version with fully customisable features.

Timer, Bulb and Timelapse:

ioShutter includes a 20 second and 60 second timer. This gives you more time to set up your shot. The Bult mode offers 60, 90 and 120 second slow shutter speeds for night photography. The Timelapse feature gives three options so you can make your own timelapse films!

Sound and ShakeToTake:

You are able to trigger your camera with Sound using this ioShutter! Either clap, laugh, scream or bang and it will take a shot!

I bought this piece of kit as a link between my IPhone and my DSLR and have had some great fun using it. Whilst it isn't cheap, it is really well made and has loads more uses than a standard cable release. If you're in the market for a really fun and professional piece of gear to add to your bag, this is a really good spend. Having used this for the last couple of month I can say it's really created a solid relationship between my IPhone and DSLR and long may it continue.

Having done a fair bit of research between Ioshutter and Triggertrap, I read some unsettling things about shipping times and returns on the others so decided to buy Ioshutter. It costs more but is very good quality, arrived really quickly and works really well. It's great for blur-free long exposures and playing with my first timelapses and I love being able to use my iPhone as the app is really easy to use. Just what I was hoping for. Thumbs up!

Not sure if the app/cable has been updated since some of these reviews were first posted, but i had none of the problems that were listed by some of the other reviewers.

$80 all in for a the cable and app is an amazing deal as far as photography equipment goes. If you shoot regularly with a tripod and have an apple product (iPhone, iPad, iTouch), ioShutter is for you. If not, you should probably keep shopping.

I love that i can frame my shot, and then be out from behind the camera to get my shot. Works great for portraits, landscapes, etc. This really is an excellent product. Well worth the money.

This is extremely overpriced. It happens that I purchased TriggerTrap release cable for $19. Guess what? tried it with the ioShutter iOS app and it works perfectly. save $40 and buy triggertrab cable (from their website)which will work with both apps.
