Linda Bond says:
As the author of Retishella and the pocket Shell the most popular question I am asked is 'Where did the initial idea come from?'
The story began as a lesson on stranger danger with my year 2 class back in 2007. I was struck by the naive image they had of a stranger being a dirty, smelly, ugly man.
In Retishella and the Pocket Shell I set out to tell a story of what can happen when we judge a book by its cover - or a shell by its beauty.
