This is actually a very lightweight guide to the iPad and some of its functions/apps. All of this information is easily found using the free online Apple guides. If you are looking for something that covers the workings of the iPad in depth or any of the major apps you are going to be disappointed. My recommendation? Download the user guides onto your iPad and look elsewhere.
I wanted some answers, for example, on how iPad apps connect via Wifi and how this is different to Safari on the iPad. This was to deal with an unusual network configuration at work. This guide describes how to set up your iPad on a network ok, but you don't need this anyway because the iPad guides you through the (very simple) process perfectly well. But if you want some help on what all those settings are, or should be, under the WiFi tab on the iPad you are going to be sadly disappointed.
Another example - The entries on Numbers, Pages etc don't tell you anything that isn't immediately apparent when using them. However look for any guide on formatting in Pages or, say, a mention that a doc file doesn't copy into Pages intact (eg text boxes aren't understood by Pages) and you will find nothing.
However there is exhaustive info on Comic Book apps and this is just about the mental level/ability this book is written for...
