... then bite the bullet and buy this one!
After the £15 previous dock/alarm from the local supermarket went a bit crazy, I searched my favourite site (amazon) for hours trying to decide on a replacement as a gift for my husband this Christmas. I like to read reviews so that I know what I am getting and ummmmed and ahhhhhed about this product as it had not be previously rated. There was way to many options to choose from and I was struggling with the do you pay £5, £50 or £150+ dilemma.
Anyway I purchased it and he loves it! All in all a brilliant choice.
Firsty, it is quite happy with the iphone 4 (in it's case!!) and also the ipod Classic 6th Gen. The sound is great not 'tinny' at all and perfectly loud enough to use as speakers for upstairs whilst pottering around. There are multiple alarm volumes and also a setting for week days and weekends - fab as you do not have to constantly reset your alarm! It also is intelligent enough to sync with you pod/phone and use the time to set the clock display.
There are 5-6 settings for the brightness of the display - great for those vampires that prefer pure darkness! The bed 'shaker' is quite amusing, even though I would say more a gimmick than a necessity. It doesn't actually 'shake' - it just plays music, so that you can fall asleep with it under your pillow or use it to wake you (without disturbing the whole household!). As I say a good choice, if you are looking for a mid-range, reasonably priced ipod dock and radio alarm clock.
