2.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy if you have a metal bath! 10 Jan 2011
By Stuart
I got this for my wife for Christmas but it's a real let-down. It works fine when you're holding it (although the range is nowehere near the 10 metres it claims - I would say more like 4 metres) BUT as soon as we put it in the bath the music immediately cuts out. As far as I can tell this is because my metal bathtub is blocking the signal - a major design flaw from my perspective as that's the whole point of a floating speaker. They really should warn about this on the packaging because I can't possibly be the first person to have had this problem. There's also an FM radio on there in theory but that's rubbish - terrible reception even though we live in an area with a really strong signal on any other FM radio. Overall - not impressed!

This is very good. The only issue I had was I did not realise that it would need sooooo many batteries.
Teenager loves it though

2.0 out of 5 stars Iduck 7 Sep 2013

really great idea, however in practice it doesn't work very well. If you move the duck when its on it frequently loses the signal, so not that great when you want it to float around in the bath.

5.0 out of 5 stars music in the bath 26 Aug 2011
By Rich S
i like my iDuck - it means I can listen to my music without the risk of damp in the phone whilst having a good long soak in the bath - sound quality is not brilliant but you cannot really expect full blown quality for price and use

4.0 out of 5 stars Bathtime fun 18 Feb 2012

All the negative reviewers need to chill out! This is an £18 fun gadget........some of the reviewers clearly thought they were buying a Bose system for the price of a bargain bucket. The range is ok. Five to ten feet, and the volume is fine for soaking in the tub! And that is on the lower setting.

Make a great present, and does all it purports to. If you want a 200 watt wireless Bose soundsation to play at your parties, dont buy this!!!

Ive brought two! Happy bathtimes..

5.0 out of 5 stars iduck 31 Aug 2010
By michael
This is a fun item that is cleverly designed. The egg transmitter and duck work very well in combination.
Downsides probably material the duck is made in hard plastic. Pity the iduck couldn't have a temperature sensitive colour/ glow. This would make it excellent for children and a useful temp guage for adults.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not really up to the job
Works, but for me theFM radio reception and the reception from the "egg" are both poor, and the volume doesn't really go high enough.

1.0 out of 5 stars Sadly not fun at all!!
Great wifi technology let down by the poor sound quality. Two volume settings and painfully tinny sound that s almost unbearable. Also needs tuning every time you turn it on?
