I travel widely and wanted something that would hold all of my music (about 5000 tracks, all legal) plus photos which I take on my travels. I also like to tune in to FM radio wherever I am. All this in one package and the sound is outstanding. The charger works everywhere - everywhere - so you only need the correct socket adapter, brilliant. On the downside though the controls are mechanically sturdy, the software makes navigating a bit tedious at times and I'm disappointed that there is no FM autoscan function. Don't follow the herd buy an x5. For a reason I don't understand pricing versus the main competitor is not now attractive (it was when I bought mine) but the iAudio x5 is worth the extra for the quality of the software and engineering and the features.
